Husband and wife doctors Paul and Kim Jordan require a drastic change. Distraught by the unaccountable death of their baby, Paul (C. Thomas Howell) convinces Kim to abjure their American lives and join a medicinal mission in Thailand. It seems to subsist just the distraction they need, till the day Paul is kidnapped by human traffickers who need a surgeon to operate on their wounded leader. Kim is left alone in a unheard of country, trying desperately to find her husband with no proof of what happened. While prisoner on the gangs' secluded island, Paul is caged through Malcolm Andrews (John Rhys-Davies), some Englishman being held for ransom. With non-existence to do but talk, the couple men quickly clash over philosophy, during the time that Malcolm relies on a bold credit in God and Paul believes not at all god would allow these evils to turn up in the world. Paul takes any other hit when he finds his uncomplaining's condition much worse than he can handle on his own in in the same state primitive conditions. With his value to the criminals plummeting, the excepting that hope for both he and Malcolm is to concoct their own escape. They must rely on each other with their very lives in succession to outwit the traffickers and complete a run for freedom.
